Introduction
The United States of America, the super power of the World, is struggling to retain its super star status.  With embarrassingly self-centered political leadership, grossly improper environmental impact, and an unsupported preoccupation with war and spending, the United States continues to speed towards its own self-induced downward spiral.

The American people know that change is now inevitable, though whether for the good or the bad of the country remains to be seen.  The Power To The People concept uses the strength and influence of mass media to compel the American public to take action and work together to insure America’s super stardom in an ever competitive world challenge.

Concept
Power To The People (PTTP) is an American Idol style political reality show where 12 potential candidates will face off to compete for the presidency of the United States of America.  Each candidate will participate in a series of challenges that are representative of the monumental issues facing this country and its place in the world today. Each week there's a new challenge. Each week the viewing audience votes for who they feel faced the challenge the best. Throughout the season, candidates are voted off the show based on their votes. The goal of the show in to be the last man or woman standing....a viable candidate for President of the United States...someone who can challenge the status quo.

Community
The PTTP community of supporters and viewers will be established through the synergy of the TV show, a highly interactive web site, a series of festival-style rallies and grassroots support groups and will shift the power to choose back into the hands of the American viewing public.  This innovative format will cut through the rampant apathy and cynicism and appeal to the majority of voters who’ve lost faith in the American political process, returning the rights of a government of the people by the people to the people.

The PTTP website has been created to help promote the television concept and build an online support community. Once the show goes live, the website will give inside access to the candidates and serve as a more indepth view of each candidate as they face the challenges on the campaign trail. Weekly candidate podcasts, blogs and site interaction will expand on what the viewing public sees via television.
